PENNE WITH TUNA SAUCE

Tuna pasta, a student staple! I can sum up my student years with one recipe: tuna pasta! When I’d open the pantry door, I could always find a can of tuna and a can of tomatoes. And coming from an Italian family, we’d always have garlic, capers and parsley, too. This is a budget-friendly, simple and super satisfying dish when you want to fill up on protein and carbs without having too many dishes to do!

  1. In a frying pan, heat olive oil.
  2. Remove pan from heat and add tuna, shredding it with a fork. Add sauce.
  3. Mix well and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Let the sauce simmer for approximately 5 minutes on medium heat.
  5. During this time, cook pasta until al dente in boiling, salted water.
  6. Add parsley and capers to the sauce.
  7. Mix the preparation with the pasta and serve.
