Polenta e Latte (Polenta Hot Cereal)

Polenta e latte (polenta hot cereal)

Some dishes feel more like a warm hug than food—like sweet travels back in time. For Stefano, that dish is his nonna Angela’s polenta e latte. She used to make this all the time for him and his sister when they were little, with the leftover polenta from the night before. In mere minutes, she’d whip up the most nourishing, comforting breakfast. Perfect to start your winter days with a smile. This family recipe echoes the importance of polenta for northern Italians, who often eat it morning, noon, and night. If you don’t happen to have leftover polenta in the fridge, simply use the precooked version from the grocery store that comes in a tube. Because, believe us, this cozy cocoon of a recipe is simply too good to pass on.
