Espresso martini

Espresso martini

The espresso martini is making a comeback, and we totally see why! Legend has it that, back in the 80s in a London bar, a famous model asked for a drink that would “wake me up and then f**k me up”. The result was a combo of vodka, fresh espresso, coffee liqueur and sugar, vigorously shaken into a frothy mix of bittersweet deliciousness.

You can top this cocktail off with three coffee beans – “con la mosca”, which is the traditional Italian way to serve sambuca – the three beans ‘with the fly’ represent health, wealth, and happiness. Whether guaranteed or not, it still makes for a perfect brunch cocktail or an after-dinner pick-me-up. Salute!
