Our rich Alfredo with pesto sauce shines bright in this one. A true flavour bomb, it lifts the chicken, orzo, and veggies from “meh” to “wow” in no time. Sort of a pasta risotto meets creamy chicken dish, this recipe combines the best comfort classics to create a true showstopper. Just the type of easy, tasty meal that’ll have the whole house swooning in no time. A thousand times yes to this one-pot wonder!

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat and sear the chicken 5 to 6 minutes per side, or until golden and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice it into strips.
  2. In the same pan, add the Alfredo with pesto sauce and chicken broth. Rinse the jar with 1 to 2 tablespoons of water, shaking to loosen any remaining sauce, and pour it into the pan. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Stir in the orzo. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and the sauce is creamy, about 10 to 12 minutes.
  4. Nestle the chicken slices back into the pan. Add the baby spinach and cherry tomatoes. Cook until the spinach is wilted and the tomatoes have softened slightly, about 2 to 3 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan and fresh basil, if desired. Buon appetito!
